CLS Hires Home Depot Executive for Information Technology Senior Vice-President of Logistics
Logistics, e-communication and Collaboration. Those are the words that you will frequently hear Mike Campanaro “Camp” enthusiastically talk about when you are in his presence. Approximately 60 days ago, Camp joined the CLS Information Technology team as Senior Vice President of Logistics. Prior to joining CLS, Camp spent seven years with Home Depot, with his last position as Vice-President of Information Systems.

His logistics experience at Home Depot has given him a comfort level and an understanding of the distribution center environment. Many of his projects were spent evaluating and implementing ways to minimize the number of footsteps and touches to drive efficiencies in the forward supply chain. While reverse logistics is somewhat different, Camp believes there are many opportunities to transfer learnings from forward logistics.

Another area where Camp has a passion is e-communication, both internally and externally. His experience has been in Web-based Data Warehousing tools that became a critical e-communication resource for helping both internal and external clients analyze their business. While at Home Depot, Camp was project lead on implementing several information management technology tools that allowed business units to achieve their sales and financial goals. Camp’s goal is to use this past success and implement enhanced flexible web-based tools for all CLS, CSCS and MedTurn clients to provide them with more business intelligence to improve their reverse logistics program.

Camp also believes in taking e-communication to the next level with trading partners. His Home Depot experience brings with it some positive experiences where sharing the same data between manufacturers and retailers helped to bridge the relationship and help both parties become more profitable. He sees a similar opportunity between the trading partners represented by all the CLS Companies.

As you have an opportunity to meet with Camp, you will find his enthusiasm to be contagious as he talks about opportunities he sees for the reverse logistics industry and ways to better service our clients through streamlined logistics, enhanced e-communication and trading partner collaboration.
